I come from a suburb south of Chicago and I wanted to learn more about physical therapy and learn how to enter the field. Can you help me?

I am also of the Chicago area and has a PT for 7 years. Once you are interested in public transport, I saw in the school was potentially interested. Visit a list of schools www.apta.org Accedit. BeABLE you will receive a link to the curriculum to be able to see what their specific needs. For example, NIU requires an average of 3.0/4.0 in all prerequisite classes. Classes include the requirement (higher) a year of chemistry and physics, a year and a half organic, a year and a half Psych, statistics, trigonometry, and completion of requirements in general education. You can use the program after its first year and ask for the selective entry (there are 36 places per year). All programs in the United States are now or MS DTC level, with the exception of the programs the PTA is still a level of an Associate Degree.

At the outset I would like to spend time in a clinical observation of all the schools require at least one observation time to the clinic. This makes the profession and helps determine whether you are really interested in a PT.

All I know is that it structures and different requirements of each program and you should visit the school to inidividual more information.

Good luck.
