How To Change A Light To A Receptacle How To Find Open Neutral To Connect A Receptacle?

How to find open Neutral to connect a Receptacle? - how to change a light to a receptacle

This problem is further to my previous question about the connection of a container. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20081216184744AAJ2RC2

After the examination of the many excited people, I bought a small engine, the power between the three son checked. The tester shows the yellow light from the heat and the floor, no light between heat and no light and neutral between neutral and earth. Then I used a test socket to test the condition of the son was HOT / GRD retirement. In both tests, believed the issue should be open to neutral.

What must I do to find out where the neutrality is broken.
1) screw on the control box was very tight and I could not move.
2) The test was carried out on the line. The container was removed and replaced with a new one.
Therefore, theCable must be broken between the two. Where do I start?
Thanks

I suspect that what you say that one of the neutrals separated into a nearby outlet from the main cable to the circuit. Go on to the next outlet, correct the tests, open power assertive, and the output connections. If all are safe, then you will pursue a kind of indicator has to be the son of the circuit in the wall. Sometimes the connection to a wall without a box. This is done, it should not be. Another thing is a screw or a nail would have ruled in the cable and causing damage. Good luck. Call a qualified electrician if you have any problems. This is more of a DIY project.
